Not Going the Distance..

Found out I still love you.
That I still cant breathe without you.
You held me close.
Briefly..I suppose.
But it brought back the memories.
Of those sweet days of luxery.
Where we spent all our moments.
Just you and me.

Ill be heading home tomorrow.
I can promise myself in sorrow.

If what we had was special.
If what we could've been was admirable.
Then why aren't we 'that' couple?

Friend, or best friend? You ask?
Can we not be best friends and more?
Our connection runs deeper than ever before.
I know that you love me.
and I know that you care.
I see it, I see the way you stare.
Yet, you deny it.
